today's been really slack. all the lessons needed less than 5% of my braincells; with the obvious exception of mathematics at the end of the day. basically, social studies ROCKED for the first time, for the most obvious reason: CC WASN'T HERE AGAIN. andrea reckons he has a major hangover, which i am beginning to be convinced about. at this rate, we will have to wait an age before we get our ss pt. but ahwell, spent a good part of the lesson slacking then we decided to practise dance for racial harmony day. and heh, i stink at dancing. my motor skills are just developed enough for me to play games and run around, but certainly not for me to take part in activities like dancing. i have very minimal control over which of my limbs come first. and i better practise harder.

then chinese, we went to watch the rest of the movie! =) yay i love the movie to bits and pieces. but bummer, we have to do an activity on this movie. =.-''' sigh. teachers just cannot let go of the idea of reflecting (stupidly) on something that we can hardly see as a relation to our currently monotonous lives. then recess, we went back to practise again! =) hahaha. dance was getting real fun, although i can hardly dance properly. hehehe. i'll get it right i promise.

after recess was assembly. then it was like head prefect nominee speeches. i was only awake for xiner's speech. HAHAHAHA. xD =) my mind is set on her. i think she has all the qualities of a headprefect. our school will be in safe hands once she takes over. =) HAHA. not school, perhaps stuff that she can control. they will all be in safe hands. okay i sound like i am helping her to campaign or something. =.-''' but really. VOTE FOR XINER! X MARKS THE SPOT. YEAH. =)))

then rs was SLACKING block. triyono sat beside me reading english notes. and i was attempting unsuccessfully to do/mug/read through math worksheets. HEH. manda they all were playing this cute game with monkeys that are supposed to catch fruits and other kinds of grub, and avoid the red bombs. it was so amusing i tell you. we were like OPEN! CLOSE! NO NO NO! OPEN OPEN! damn fun. =)

math. omg. my fa came back. lol and i totally rock i tell you. i missed two fricking questions. =.-''' 2(V) and for question 3 i did not find the length of AB. lol, i better read properly during SA. =) and keep calm. keep cool. HAHA. sounds so RA. then after that i re-did the whole FA just to be sure my presentation is correct.

heh after bell rang, we started practising dance again. we know the steps, yes, just that our memories all have a case of launch lag. heh but we are smart enough to know the steps okay! =) yeppp. we rockkk. xD amy was telling me our class was cool. 0.0 hahaha too early to tell but yeah, good job people in the dance thing. for picking up the dance so fast. =) with the exception of me perhaps cuz i am still muddled. 0.o someone save me. OH OH and nik was teaching me indian dance just now. haha at first i was a bit blur. but now i think i can. HEH. just that i'm not good at doing it. xD but at least i tried!

then went home.

just came home from aftermath.
manda just informed me that i have officially nothing to do for bio pt, as of now.
and to take words out of weifen's mouth, i am feeling rather useless.
okay maybe not USELESS, just that i am not as involved as i would like to be.
feeling out of shape lately. not doing much and not feeling like getting my lazy self moving.
i better wake up from holiday stupor by today.
yeah today. it's 1224 am now, and i am still resisting my mum's calls for me to sleep. i have to blog. haven't blogged in TWO DAYS.
had math formative today.

my math brain totally blanked out on me.
i could not remember a single thing! (although i have just recently ran a math marathon in two nights and finished every single holiday work for math.)

golf was great today. despite not having been within a metre radius of a golf club for the entire summer holidays, i had pretty good shots consistently for two holes. i used a 6 iron all the way till the end. today was pretty much the first time i used a 6 iron. normally, i would be seen wielding a 7 iron on the course, with a putter and sometimes, a driver. for noobs, a driver isn't a human, it's a piece of golf equipment with the humongous clubhead, which totally belies the feather-light weight of the club.

golf kind of wore me out with all that walking in the blistering sun. the course makes me miss uk. =( bleh. the open space, the light breeze, the sun...ahh. but the weather is light years away from being as great as uk's. it was steaming hot. i could just sublime there and then baby, disappear into nothingness.

sometimes i wonder if i can just be gone and the memory of me erased from everyone's minds, so i never have to exist. hahaha, this sounds so paranoid and so suicidal. omg, no, i am nowhere near that for goodness sakes. i was just wondering. =)) my mission this term is optimism. full-time, 24/7. and i am trying to work towards that. life would be much better with a smile and a happy face. hahaha. same thing, but just to place a greater emphasis on being cheerful.

okay, i should really be doing my work.

today has to be the best 1st day of all terms. =)
got to school at around 7 am and gave jas her card and prez and jiayue the short note i wrote. =)
then went off to 307, 305 and 312 to give people souvenirs from uk.
vivien teo looked super dead and super sleepy lols. sleep earlier woman!
and when i went to give jas her card she wasn't there! haha and i saw hazel and hot air (michelle). said hello. ^.^
yingjing was telling me how cute the pencil was hahaha. xD i think the present's lame but i like the thing on the top of the pencil as well! xD actually it's a clown thinger.
lalala then i went back to class!
suchin changed her glasses. looks nicer than the previous one. and funkier.

assembly was quite long, cuz there were the head prefect nominee speech.
before that met jessica and paul! =) haha i just realised they are in 302! o.0 talk about me not knowing my levelmates. AHHH.
okay back to the speech, i think i am already bought over by TWO people.
i am not saying anything. hahahaha. just that i have already made up my mind about two people to vote for! =)
lalala. and i must really say that hannah cheng has the best speech, xiner has the most charisma, and grace has the most unconventional campaign (very literaturish if you ask me. go get yourself a piece of the instructions how to play the card game thing. read into it.).

we just did this quiz whereby my group just tikum tikum still get quite a lot correct! HAAHAHA.

then our uk trip presentation is on thursday!

recess was right after that.
so utilised the time to discuss bio pt!

walked a little way to the physics lab.
then saw people walking back so lesson was supposed to be in class.
the lesson was quite followable and i understood it!

english and we were quite slacky. HAHA.
slacked for a good half of the lesson talking about our holidays.
then later were only supposed to take a look at the structure of an article.
after that we discussed our pop culture group task!
it was our first time discussing it! AHHHH. darns it.
but ahwell, we can get it done!

it was A MATH after that. i was super super dreading it.
and i was contemplating quitting a math.
phew i didn't in the end cuz i finally grasped SUMMATION and the PROOF THINGER!

okay maybe it's cheap but to a perpetually broke ass like me this is money that could have lasted me for 5 recesses!

we were at this indian food stall having prata and some drinks.
was having dinner with my cousins.
so yeah, my aunt got a plain lassi.
i tried it and i was like: "uh, what's that in the drink?"
it was sour so my dad was trying to act smart and said: "it's fermented milk. you know like yoghurt? but don't know how they make one."

a day of full-time slacking hasn't been easy on me.

what do i aim to do in life, i don't know at all.
all i know now is to do well in school, to be the best i can be.
the best i am being now is not even within a mile of my expectations.
not referring to school. just me.
all i thought i am is probably not who i am.
naw, i can't be grappling with self identity.
that's what i always tell myself when i start to think too much.
now i guess i AM struggling with who i am and what i am here for.
to start with, i'm not too sure of my character anymore.
i thought i was frank and straightforward but now i don't think i can be that anymore, cuz it's getting harder to be who i really am every day.
and next i thought this year i would be a better person to others.
ha. guess i'm not. being someone in charge isn't easy and i've let down some people by being rash and hotheaded at unappropriate times. and to that, my sincerest apologies.
reckon i need to run an attitude check on myself pronto.
not just that, i've got the feeling that i piss people off bigtime this term.
well again i'm sorry.
i examined the situation and i found it's kind of my fault that stuff turned out all wrong.

UPDATE ON UK TRIP 2006!
this trip totally rawked my socks off baby.
make the hell sure you read this whole thang.
woot yeah. xD presenting to you a whole week of hardcore journaling!

day 1. 27th may.
i reached the airport at 730pm, super early i know but yeah, a couple of rg people were there already before me. but those i don't know them at all. i was looking around for a familiar face but found none, so i kind of panicked and sms-ed my 5 classmates who were going for the trip as well. and thank god jiayue was walking in just then. yeppers. otherwise i would have freaked. she had a white pouch-like thinger around her waist and i thought it looked cool lah. HAHA. but anyway. eileen came a while later and i started to see people i recognised. xD haha. we slacked around for about half an hour before the teachers decided to collect passports. yeah. we checked in and had until 9pm with our parents. i went for a drink with my mummy and daddy and said byebye. all the 42 of us had to go to the departure hall and hang around until 11. i was quite paranoid about going overseas with a bunch of near-strangers. 0.o haha yeah. i recognise only a few people. hehe.

we boarded the plane at around 11pm! it was like a double decker plane but obviously, we are economy class, so we get the lower deck instead. BLEH. double bah. but anyway! was sitting between mohmoh and eileen. and the seat is quite nice really. hahaha. i slept like 8 hours of the entire journey to heathrow airport in london! then i spent the rest watching yours, mine and ours TWICE. xD HAHA. i like the way they do stuff together! IT'S SUPER DARN CUTE I TELL YOU. hahahaa. only if i had so many sibs! xD HAHA. i want an elder sis if i can. xD HEH. but obviously, cannot be possible unless i go back in time 3 years before i was born and somehow make my parents marry earlier and do the ahem earlier and pray for a sister. xD HAHA. okay that's digression.

so yeah 13 hours later WE TOUCHED DOWN!

day 2. 28th may.
at 5 plus in the morning the people at the heathrow airport are obviously half asleep and half awake. and VERY SLOW. so we got stuck at the immigration part for quite some time. lollers. we congregated outside the checkout point and waited for julie, our tour guide. we were brought to a big coach and loaded our luggage before boarding. it was a long long long ride to orielton field centre and yeah, took quite a nap in the coach.

some people were snapping pictures non-stop of the scenery outside. and they way they squeal at the nice-ness of the scenery totally AMUSES me. i was there watching them take pictures. hahaha. xD it was quite boring actually, the ride. then i took pictures of the gepers being spastic. lol. but they were highly entertaining to watch though. LOL. here's a picture of zoe (i think if i am not wrong) taking a picture of oceana. LOL. xD



stopped over at some place with a coach park and a couple of general stores. got gum and cadbury chocolate from that place. 50p for 10 pieces of gum and 85p for an 8-chunk chocolate bar. finished them all on the trip to orielton. noticed there were loads of the same kind of towns with the same kind of houses. quite monotonous actually. but the cool thing is they are all situated on the slopes of hills or at the base of hills. it would be a nice place to retire in. hahahaha. xD

we got to the field centre just at like lunch time. so after packing our luggages into our rooms. OUR'S WAS SEAL! then we went down to pack lunches. sandwiches. oh goody! we had a lavish spread of stuff to put between two slices of bread. hahaha. i am a meat-arian, so i was put off my the leafy salad vege stuff but i decided to try the tomato. hahaha. xD okay i am not completely carnivorous, just that i hate vegetables as much as i hate doing math. (btw, i am supposed to be doing my math homework now, but WHO CARES. i wanna blog. xD)

lesson was fun! honestly i think it's better and more interesting than our normal school lessons. in rg it's quite monotonous. haha. perhaps because here we're learning about something new and foreign. and the room is very psacious anyway and WE WERE WEARING OUR OWN CLOTHES for a change. xD HAHA. hint hint.

went out for fieldwork. went to angle first. it was quite isolated really. and my nose and lips were practically suffering a certain degree of frostbite. hahaha. it felt like they were gonna fall off. 0.o anyway, we did our tallying of number of cars, types of houses and kinds of services available...and eve asked some of the residents some questions. yep. frankly, the anglers are generally colder towards people than the hundleton-ers. xD the HUNDLETON KIDS are CUTE! spotted 3 boys dribbling a soccerball so i yelled to them, "HEY! CAN WE ASK YOU A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS?" me, eileen and grace went to them and asked stuff like how long have you been living here and if they bought their stuff in hundleton. then one of them (Jack) said, "Can you ask me some more questions?" LOL. Then he started asking us where we were form and mistakenly assumed that we were from CHINA. 0.o right. he suddenly ran off shouting "MAYDAY MAYDAY!" ROFLMAO MAN. a couple of other rg people went to talk to them and the boys ended up calling all their friends over. LOL. they actually have boyfriends and girlfriends at the tender age of ELEVEN. wahh. amazing mans.

then went back to the field centre for dinner! dinner was GOOD. ROAST CHICKEN. ROAST POTATO. CARROTS. BROCOLLI + CAULIFLOWER. GRAVY!

day 3. 29th may.
ate a super big breakfast and i thought there was only cereal that morning, but obviously, there was more than that too the extra siizes those angmoh's wear, if you know what i mean. just when i thought there was nothing else to eat, the main course of the breakfast was served up to us - bacon, toast, hashbrowns and tomatoes. OHMYGOSH. damn good mans. and i stuffed my face again...literally, yeah. HAHA. had 3 cups of milk, a tea, one full bowl of cereal, 2 helpings of fat-laden bacon (hey that rhymes. say i'm a poet! XD), a hasbrown and 3 toasts swathed in butter. i could feel the heat man. food + digestin = HEAT ENERGY. ze common sense equation. LOLLERS. xD

went for some briefing, sat together in the living room and had some small reminder thing from the teachers about not being crass. well sure, we yell a whole lot in singapore like loud motormouths and nobody's business...but here, you can't have that kind of freedom of expression. craass culture just ain't the way here baby. haha yeah. well a good change but a hard one to make, considering that all our lives we've been facing all that loudness and broad generous speech in the markets and friendly neighbourhood hawker centres. xD

lessontime and the fieldwork sounded damn exciting i tell you. nearly couldn't wait for it. set off in the coach with the rest and sat with eileen. the beach at amroth was quite nice and the pebbles rocked! xD hahaha. i was sliding down the pebble slope picking up the pebbles and stones we needed to measure. ohyeah and there was one point in time i was sitting there throwing the pebbles. got scolded for that. oops. okay moral of story: THINK BEFORE YOU THROW / LEAP. hahaha. oh talking about leap. i was leaping on the slope as well. HAHAHA. had absolutely no fear baby. and i loved doing the distance ranging thing. the pole is darn right cool okay.

lunch was spent climbing towards the more forbidden part of the beach. hahaha. no lah. it's the teachers who said it's not very safe to go there. me and paul went to the stream going into the sea. and DRANK THE WATER. xD HAHAHA. tasted like fresh water. like potable water. and we were like. okay if we get diarrhoea (sp?) at least we know where we got it from. lol. and i did not get diarrhoea. HAHA. xD

anyway the next beach was at saundersfoot bay. wah! i love the beach! although the flying sand annoys me to the core by getting in my eyes, nose, hair and clothes. xD finished fieldwork pretty fast and we went to take pics. I WROTE ROFLMAO ON THE BEACH DAMN BIG OKAY. then me and audrey lay on the ground laughing and took a picture! xD WOOT.



then came back to have dinner. nono. break. went down to basement and played ping pong. xD hahas yeah. audrey had an obsession with the words "delusional" and "dysfunctional". LOL. Then lesson time! i was falling asleep again. xD HAHA. jet lag lah. dinner was GOOD as usual. haha. FISH AND CHIPS, PEAS, PIZZA, PUDDING. OMG. SALIVATING AT THE SIGHT OF THESE WORDS MANS. xD HAHA.

after that was lesson then shower then bed lol. and the shower wasn't that packed. and you know what. ms leow went to FILM us in the TOILET. OMG. HOW SICK. hahaha. no lah. just to show the rest of the school how we have to wait for our turns in the shower. LOL. I AM SO FREAKING AMUSED. okay actually, i am not. LOL.

after showering man was i tired. just slumped into bed and started sleeping. HAHA. xD

day 4. 30th may.
i woke up at around 530am. lol and went walking downstairs, just to avoid waking the rest up. aren't i NICE. xD HAHAHA. then BREAKFAST. OMGOSH WHAT A SPREAD. SAUSAGES! POTATOES! CEREAL! TOAST! XD AHHHH! DAMN NICE. i am seriously missing all the food there right now. now that i am home alone with no-one but my shadow for company (ohmygosh sounds freaky. BLEH), i cannot COOK for nuts. i would just burn the whole house down please. LOL. okay CHOY. but at least i know how to use the friggin washing machine. HEH. okay digression. anyway.

then we went for FIELDWORK! at windy sand dunes. damn pretty i tell you. xD someone said she wants to get married on sand dunes hahahahaa. i was the soil collector in my group so i was digging up soil here and there. lollers. quite fun lah. but it was the coldest day there when we were in wales so yeah. the wind just made everything worse. there was one point in time when i was just like omgosh i cannot take the cold i feel like puking kind of thing. and i didn't eat my lunch cuz i felt sick. so i just lay on the grass and boy it was NICE. xD HAHA. and i remember alyssa doing something weird to me. hmmmm.

we returend to the field centre after that and had a break. me nik and peiqi went down to entertain ourselves with table tennis. actually it was more like ROOM TENNIS. cuz she and peiqi were playing everywhere else except the freaking table. =.-'''' i helped them take a video of them playing room tennis. HAHA. xD LOL.

lesson and i was FALLING ASLEEP again. BLEH. haha but dinner was great! as usual mans. lasagne but since it was beef i took the vegetarian one, which is good-tasting as well. hahahaha. there was salad and me being a leaf-HATER did not touch any of those. and there was omg STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE. tasted super nice. xD ahhh! i wanna go back in time and grab a piece back to the present. lol. xD

there was another lesson which i fell asleep in then it was free time! showered and yeah went to sleep! xD HAHA. xD but before i went to sleep, i took pictures of our war torn room (lol from all the clothes that are around the place). hehehe.



day 5. 31st may.
hmm i cannot exactly remember what happened on this day. but it was last day at orielton. bah! it was cosy and warm. really was. and i wrote this in my travel journal for the teachers. xD HAHA. just for show but yeah what i wrote there is TRUE.

"it is feeling more and more like a family now. yeah. everyon's decent and nice to each other. made some new friends and some perspectives of others have changed over these few days. heh. gepers are really funny and cute. tehy can be totally random at on moment and the next minute tehy would be speaking in weird accents. and they have the funniest jokes. xD LOL. they rock man at all the wisecracks and stuff like that. HAH.xD "

woot yeah. gepers are definitely not what i thought they were before. ahahhaa. and yeah i remember. before breakfast that day, we were outside on the little lawn running around. hahahaa. and had fun posing LOVE using our shadows. lol. and i saw pauline doing some gymnast thing with jessica. and they were doing CARTWHEELS, HANDSTANDS and other stuff that would have otherwise broken some of my bones if i tried. 0.o pro eh. hahaa.

then we went in and waited for the breakfast bell. when it rang, ohmygosh, there was a COLLECTIVE YAY. haahahhaa. damn amusing i tell you. the FOOD as usual was GOOD! BACON! SAME AS THE FIRST DAY AND JUST AS NICE. AHHH! shiok mans. after breakfast we went off for dale fort field centre. haha yeah.

reached there around lunchtime so just nice, packed lunch again. HAHA. oh rewind. just before we packed lunch, me and andrea went to our room with mich and hazel. and omgosh she's damn smart, go and lock us out of the room. LOL. luckily somebody came along and unlocked the door for us. xD HEHEHE. okay back to lunch. as usual there was a lavish spread. HEHEHE. =) and i took lots. woot.

we were going to the salt marsh that day so we took out waterproofs and stuff. i got my boots and yeah we set off for salt marsh! the salt marsh was MUDDY but it was nice. i mean the grass was super nice. you just lie down and woot you feel like you're CAREFREE man. =) and there was this part where we had to cross this TREACHEROUS trench. haha. no lah. actually it's just a mud trench. and it was quite short. LOLLERS. but i FELL after we did our fieldwork on the other side. xD HEHEHE. fell flat on my butt. the mud sucks you in like anything man. i was pulling myself out when i fell. LOL. i was one of the dirtiest. HEH. xD and the mud had this toxic layer that gives off sulphur dioxide. phoot damn stinko. ughh. but anyway it was fun learning about this and that. there was this SEA PLANTAIN, SEA PURSLANE, RED FESCUE (the damn nice grass), SALT MARSH GRASS and this very difficult to pronounce word that audrey pronounces it in a weird weird funny funny way. lol. xD HAHAHA.

then we got back to the field centre to shower and stuff like that. the toilets were bigger and nicer hahahaha. xD YEP! and there were more cubicles, so lesser waiting man. and i recall that on that night i was in the toilet and i was watching people clean their stuff. you know washing. hahaha. yeah. claire was there with a towel on her head, washing her clothes. she looked damn comical i tell you. and she looked totally like a genie, so hence she was the GENIE IN A TOWEL. and she was like, "genie can do everything except clean socks and underwear." OMG i was freaking RA-ed. hahaha. and there was her confucius jokes.

that is just about what was interesting that day. LOL. and i slept very early that night. HAHA. and i remember thinking mich is a bit nutty. LOL. cuz she climbed onto the topbunks and went to mine as well just as i was about to sleep. LOL. HAHAHA. xD

day 6. 1st june.
i remember i woke up at 6 am that morning. did not wake the rest up just in case they SCOLD me. hmph. hahaa. i brushed my teeth and washed my face and went back to bed. slept al lthe way to 730am. HAHA. xD packed lunch before going for the cobbler's hole thing. it was quite cool at the cliff actually and we saw a lot of COWS. and before it was our turn to go and sketch a picture of the cliff, alyssa me peiqi and a few others formed the DAFOS. and started dancing spastically to peiqi's IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT (catch your wave by the click 5). hahaha damn amusing i tell you.

anyway, when it was our turn. i actually stepped on some cow dung. okay don't worry, it was DRIED cow dung, so none of the icky stuff got on my shoe, thankfully. HEHE. and i took a picture of the dried up dung as well as the pretty cliff. =) hahaha.


the dung. it looks like a natural land mine. you step on it and OOSH the dung comes oozing out. YUCK.


THE CLIFF! the folds are due to the clashing of the tectonic plates, so yeah, there were faultlines everywhere. it was damn chio though. =)

then after that we went back to fieldcentre and packed off to a beach to do fieldwork. =) wah all that field work was making me very very chaota please. LOL. but it was super fun. me aud peiqi and eileen make the team. lol. yepp. we finished damn fast. =) although we were the last to start. after that we went to play in the water, skip stones and take picturs! haha. the seaweeds were pretty! yayyers. and oh i had a shocker when i first knew peiqi loves pink. LOL. she looks totally unpink..okay now she looks more pink. HAHA.

some pictures of us having fun. okay more like me and aud. we were playing around in the water and eventually i lost my freaking balance (as usual. haha i have a very poor sense of balance) and fell knee first into the water. my sock was FREAKING wet i tell you. LOL. xD but it was very fun playing among the pretty sea weed though. =)

we went back after that and yeppers was super super tired. haha and i was practically DYING from drawing the massive graphs and all that. omgosh. had a shower and nearly wanted to sleep, if not for the little food party we had at the base of the staircase that night. mohmoh dropped by just as i was about to collapse into slumberland, asking if we were gonna have a food party. and yeah i said yes cuz eileen and jiayue and nik were already cooking the noodles. so we sat in a food circle, passing food around and talking about random stuff. haha i think we bonded really well with each other, meaning mohmoh, peiqi (who joined us even though she already brushed her teeth) and mich. yeppers. we talked a whole lot lah. talked all the way till 12 am and it was really fun, cos mrs lee and ms lee caught us eating at the base of the staircase. LOLLERS. but said nothing much. HEHEHE. xD

day 7. 2nd june.
we went sandhopper catching at castle beach! it was quite disgusting at first but it became more fun as we got the hang of it. i refused to touch them with my bare fingres though. then we went to count the perwinkles and stuff. we finished the periwinkle count and yeah as usual had fun! xD LOL. =)

then we went back for lunch break. put down my stuff and went down with my lunch. sat on the side of the road chatting about stuff with eileen jiayue and audrey. brought up the usual subjects of classmates and best friends. haha yeah. and felt sad all over again about this and that. really, i should be past that but i just ain't past it yet. i don't know if i should stay and do something about it. but after all this while i guess i should stay. i cannot run anymore. i'm getting tired of finding someone. yeah i am. like eileen said, friendship cannot stand the test of change, not time. and guess it held true for me and viv. it's like we went our separate ways altogether. lost touch completely. well almost. bleh. and i hope this one with you won't fall apart like that. gotta hold it together. life is unpredictable and that's probably the interesting thing about it. so yeah. life i am gonna take you by the horns. yep. =)

then after that we went back to castle beach again to recatch some more sandhoppers. we had marked those that we caught earlier so yeah we only caught a few marked ones. lollers. caught 74 in total. not very impressive for an 8 people team. cuz the other teams where there were like 4 people in a group, they caught up to 150 sandhoppers. 0.o omgosh. this is a typical case of too many cooks spoil the broth. LOL. xD haha but it was still fun!

went back to field centre and showered and had food party again! this time we had gummies! and yeah took some random pictures here and there. ohyeah there was a one-der picture on the staircase! woots. =) but sadly i don't have it. it's with jiayue, eileen, nik and andrea. cuz i was too lazy to take out my cam. xD HEHEHE. then we went to sleep. =)

day 8. 3rd june.
We left dale fort to go do some sightseeing. the coach bloody broke down please. wasted some time but yeah it was a good sunbathing experience though. haha, the grass and all. i got really sunburnt after all that fieldwork and that one hour under the hort burning sun definitely gave me another shade of tan. we were stranded in the midst of the sicilly mountains. ahhh! with loads of sheep surrounding us. and talking about the sheep, i thought our tour guide was being damn annoying, talking so much and telling us to count sheep and telling us to sing along iwth her. =.-''' DOTS. rub me the wrong way man.

but thank god another coach came and we set off for the centre for alternative energy. was super fun cuz me mich hazel and nik rediscovered our lost childhood. mich was convinced we had a deprived childhood. LOL. we were climbing the rope structure, hanging upside down. lollers. then after that it was kind of a bit too late for anything else so we went to the celtic royal hotel. boy it was posh. okay not very posh but still yeah, we felt absolutely out of place there. 0.o

after putting down our stuff, we went down for dinner. dinner was BIG and i stuffed my face again. HEHEHE. that night i was supposed to go over to jiayue's room for a game gathering but i didn't. cuz i was too tired and i needed to rest. so yep didn't go over. HEHE.

day 9. 4th june.
today we went to a CASTLE. super pretty and fun okay. =) took a lot of pictures and made our way around the tall towers and stuff. then i went to the gift shop and got a couple of gifts for my family and friends. I BOUGHT A COOL WOODEN SWORD FOR MY COUSIN! and i was using it as a weapon to protect claire, under the instructions of ms suvitha krishnan. HAHA.

then we went to snowdonia! the mountain is really cool. it was really high up man. okay i meant to put some pictures but sadly the darn pop-up blocker is blocking EVERYTHING. wtf. but anyway. the top was damn nice i tell you. cool and windy. oh and that was the place where i knighted paul sir paul. HAHA. and somebody took a picture of us. LOL. hahaha. i don't have it though. it's with paul. =) hahaha damn funny. on the way back to the train paul was like here let me clear the way for you. AHHA. hahaha. funny lah that woman. the train was super super slow and we were entertaining ourselves looking at peiqi talking to two little girls who were on the train. haha. and there was one more thing though. lynette was sitting with me and she fell asleep and went onto ying ching's shoulder. hahahaa. and i pulled her back and she ended up on my shoulder. and that paul took two pictures of me. one of me looking at lynette and the other me looking over trying to see where paul was. and apparently, they found that by switching between the pictures, they make a short film of me turning my head. =.-''' LOL. amusing huh.

after that we went to port merion. it was super late then so there was nothing much to see. got a nice notebook for myself. HEHEHE. haven't actually figured what it would be for yet. xD LOL.

then it was back to the hotel! and that night i bunked in with andrea they all. =) hahaha. oh and before that we played TRUTH OR DARE. but we could not do dares there duh so we did truth. hahaha. =) damn fun lah. but there was this super disgusting question that was asked. i was the first to be asked questions so hazel was like, "hahahahaha...this question is very disgusting. hhaahaha. okay okay which one of us in this circle would you wanna les with?" OMG OMG OMG. that is so freaking gay. okay that is GAY. eek. honestly NONE. i am entirely straight man dear hazel. lollers. but it was rather fun! =) hahaha. getting everyone's opinions and stuff, better than playing cards all night long. bleh bleh!

day 10. 5th june.
went to llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerych. whoof. how to pronounce that? i don't know. LOLLERS. bought some more stuff there. actually completed a huge bunch of my shopping over there. HEHEHE. got wristbands for manda suchin amy with nik and a couple of other gifts for those back at home. =)

we went to wedgwood factory where we got scolded by this woman when we were meddling with the clay. hehe. xD actually we weren't supposed to be there but we didn't know. bleh. that woman sucks big time lah. then we went around looking at stuff. the plates look damn high quality please! ohyeah there was this cabinet holding a set of jasper saying "THIS CABINET IS ALARMED." LOL. i took a picture of it but bleh thanks to my dad's pop-up blocker i cannot put any more pictures. HMPH. haha but it was really RA though. =)

it was quite a boring day lah really. then we went to birmingham where we did some shopping and i got my AS IF wristband from claire's. HAHAHA. and we went to a new hotel! RAMADA BIRMINGHAM EAST HOTEL. =) hahaha. it was more comfy than the previous one. and slightly bigger. and more cosy. =) HEHEHE. then me and nik went over to peiqi's to play dai di. =) i won once although i was rookie! XD HAHAHA. but i was the dai di asshole a lot of times lah. xD HEHEHE. but it was great fun though. and that peiqi cannot stop commenting i had horrible colour sense. =.-'' anyhow wear one cannot is it? lol. xD

day 11. 6th june.
first thing in the morning and we set off CADBURY! WOOT! that place totally rocked man. before we went into the factory, we went to the playground they had there and had a hell of a time. =) then the factory was even better! FREE CHOCOLATE! AHHHHH! i love that place. got free choc buttons and a free milk choc bar! the caramel one i gave it away.HAHAHAA. xD omg after the factory trip there was the shop. wahhh so many choices i nearly fainted. i ended up spending the least: 4 pounds 29 pence. the rest were spending like 27 pounds on chocolates. 0.o hahahaha. xD

after that was OXFORD. WHOOHOO. that place is one nice university to be in. =) we'll be there in a couple of years if we want to. i would want to. =) so many shops around the area. and the architecture was spectacular. 0.0 took a truckload of pictures but sadly, can't put them here. GRRRR. but ahwell. it was totally wicked i tell you. then we went to the oxford souvenir shops. i got an oxford cap and wanted to get a sweater but it was a whopping 20 pounds = 60 dollars. totally not worth it. yeah so i got just a cap. but it was good enough. =)

oxford was over and we went onto the coach, on our way to london! like finally. =) hehehe. lynette joined me and nik at the back and we started listening to music on nik's mp3. yeppers. just to kill time lahs. =) got to somerset bayswater apartment soon enough. zomg the place was damn nice, complete with sofa and mini kitchen! =) haahaha. put down my stuff and settled down and all that. then went down to mohmoh's room to discuss the plans for the next day and the last day. yep. =) it was quite chaotic so i was there guai-ly taking notes. HAHA. =)

went to bed after that. hehehe. damn tired lah please.

day 12. 7th june.
oh my word. this is the most eventful day ever. i am gonna skip the whole part of the london tour and jump straight to after that. HEH. julie left us at the greenwich meridian and yeah we set off from there for the nearest tube station. after some confusion, we got our tickets to canary wharf. then we bought day passes for the day and travelled to waterloo and then to some other station before we got to queen's theatre. we bought our tickets there at 20 pounds each. quite a lucky thing cuz yeah the full price was 27.50. and we were students so we got discounts. =) yeah. after that we then went around shopping the area. hahaha. i forgot what we actually did...oh yeah we went to the BRITISH MUSEUM. a cool place mans. wanted to go see the michelanglo paintings but that cost quite a bit of money so we hung around the general section. yeps. the play was good man. the impt part of today was when les miserables was playing. it was very touching. haha i think i was the only koo koo that cried lah. the songs are very expressive and tie into the theme of the play quite well, although audrey was arguing and going on and on about how some parts irrelevant. i thought everything was flowing and it was made to make you feel damn sad. heh xD yeah.

after that we made our way back to bayswater station from piccadilly circus i think. lol. cannot remember. mohmoh was supposed to be with me but i saw her with yy so i thought they'd be fine but in the end when we took the first train and were supposed to stop at the second stop to wait for the rest to catch up, they didn't get down the train. 0.o omg. i was freaked out about that lah please. and thank god they were smart enough to find their way back. lol. when i saw mohmoh i was relieved like anything. went to hug her and tell her not to get lost again. heh. xD

after that on the return train, there was this black guy who was apparently drunk. he was shouting swear words and cursing at the top of his voice. he kicked the door and yelled some more when i looked at him. i was the last one to get into the carriage lah please. and he was ranting and raving like some mad bull. damn freaky. but i'm glad i kept my cool. and at that point in time, i really really missed our mrt.

that incident kind of rattled quite a number of people. nik and i were kind of laughing for no rhyme or reason about the guy. but actually to think of it, his behaviour is kind of amusing. but still FREAKY. ahwell. was super tired. BLEH BLEH. after another discussion about the next day's schedule, i went to bed! =)

day 13. 8th june.
the day of SHOPPING. okay not exactly my big love, but that day i bought a nice no fear sweater for below 10 pounds and a shirt that suits me for 5 pounds 89 pence. xD HEHEHE. these are the only things that i bought when we were at lilywhites. xD =) then we went to harrods, which is a damn damn high class place where they have weird rules for entering the building. =.-''' dots lah. it's so high class you can literally feel the pressure to behave. wanted to get a plastic bag from harrods but i had absolutely NOTHING to buy there so hahaha. xD didn't have a harrods plastic bag.

after harrods was natural history museum. it's a larger cooler version of our science centre. okay our science centre is wayyyy below the standard of this museum. light years and eons away. it's totall wacky. all the stuff there is worth seeing and seeing again. =) then after the museum we were supposed to go to oxford street or something but we scrapped it and returned to bayswater instead cuz we got lost on the way. hahahaa. and wasted some time. xD then yeah the last few moments were spent around the bayswater shops buying last minute stuff.

me mich and nik were bored and we decided to try the love machine thing. mich went first and she scored a 2, meaning she was MOSTLY HOT AIR. i scored an 8, meaning i was ahem hot stuff. and nik scored even higher 9, meaning she was hot stuff as well. LOL. i was so amused. this kind of thing is bogus and mich was insisting that she warmed up the machine for us. LOL. okay quite true though. it's just a sensor thing, nothing much. xD

returned to hotel after that and got our luggages and i changed into my week-old pe shirt. eek. okay it didn't smell that bad. haha. then got on the coach and went to the back seat. nik went to the back as well and heh there was a lot of space there! i was writing my journal and nik went super high then for no rhyme or reason, wearing the sunglasses she bought for her mum and talking a lot. hahaha. she ended up sleeping when she lay down to write her journal. lollers lazy woman.

reflected quite a bit in the coach when nik was finally sleeping. hahaha. i actually couldn't believe it was the LAST DAY of the trip. that was when reality smashed in like a wave on a rock. all the stress of homework and pt's falling on my shoulders once more. but i knew i have to face all of it when i come back. i always have this trouble of facing life in the face and facing facts of life. call me a dreamer or what but i cling on to things that i am supposed to let go off sometimes. so i figured life isn't a safe playground to experiment or fall down too much in. it's far more than what i thought it is. so all this while i guess i was living in a delusion that i can make all the mistakes i want and get away with it unscarred. the fact is i cannot. i remember and i feel hurt and sad all over again. yeah. all the past problems i had with schoolwork, with leadership stuff, with class stuff and ultimately friendship, come back to haunt me sometimes. bleh. but i guess that's part and parcel of life isn't it? mistakes. but i gotta learn. and remember not to do them again. so i've gotta get out of this delusion, face things as they are, forget stuff not worth remembering, let go of stuff that i am VERY SURE are not gonna work out, start over with a strong heart when stuff just freaking screw up for me. disappointment was something i very much associated with myself during this trip. i simply wasn't the me i was right after obs this year. right after obs i had not a care for the world and i had that strange sense of confidence that everything is gonna go right for me and all that. but this time, nah, i was disappointed with myself. i let some old problem bug me and make me kind of sullen sometimes during the trip. sigh guess i'll have to pick myself up and start over. i shan't go down.

but yeah i am totally glad i went for this trip. haha. got to know so many FUNKY people. =) yeppers, totally make the trip worth the while and worth the money. my room mates rocked, my table mates rocked, my fieldtrip mates rocked, my knight rocked...blah blah blah rocked the house down. =) well good thing now i've sorted out my thoughts about that old problem. can get on with life as per normal, just that there's one more thing on my agenda to tick off. and that is to get things that happened last term patched up.

so heart: don't fail me now. haha. yeah. =) i got to have heart. and faith.

so after the LONG COACH RIDE, we got to the airport. checked in and stuff. spent some of my extra pounds on some food at the coasta cafe there. hahaha. ate and had some last minute chat with mich and nik. ahahaha. it was hilarious i tell you. haha totally. then yeah got on the plane, on the way HOME.

day 14. 9th june.
was on the plane still. the bad thing was i got motion sick. EK. and slept most of the trip. yy kindly gave me her seat cuz she wanted to sit elsewhere. hahaa. and i ended up take up two seats and sleeping there. HAHA. and then later i woke up and started watching 8 below. it was quite nice a movie, if i hadn't been having motion sickness. lol. xD hahaha.

touched down at around 520am. was in a daze. i couldn't believe i was back in singapore. paul hugged me and said good bye and stuff. yeah. then collected luggage. i was the first to collect. xD heh. cuz my uncle was rushing off to somewhere for a dinner. so i had to scram double quick. so yeah didn't say a proper goodbye to the people there. heh. sorry. xD

and i was so tired when i got home. unpacked and stuff. almost wanted to cry lah. wanted to get the feeling of being in a big family back again when we were still in uk. haha. but really the time in uk totally rocked. and thank you once again to people who made this trip such a splendid spiffing one. =) you know who you are lah. scroll down and see. and besides those whom i've listed in the previous previous dunno which one of the posts, there's the three one people! =) jiayue nik and eileen! =) haha. yeah. you guys rock and you know it. it's been nice knowing you more. it's been really really fun as well yeah. rock on man.

okay term 3. it's coming in two short weeks. and start of term 3's gonna be something new, something better. oh that reminds me. of church service. i haven't been to church in a long while. i'll make it a point to go next sunday. yeah i will. and the something better reminds me. on 8th jan (what a coincidence just 5 months before this day lol), pastor steve preached about something better happening, if only we ask and make some lifestyle changes. i'm feeling kind of guilty for not making it to church for a record of about 2 months. BLEH. but yeah i would make sunday a free day for church. somewhere to unwind and reflect on what i've done the whole week. yeppers. and meanwhile, i'll pray in faith everything would turn out fine. yep. i'm sure stuff will. optimism man! optimism. =)

bah i haven't accomplished much today.
struggled through zuowen not knowing what to write and now my essay is a catastrophic dysfunctional piece.
i only completed my quads assignment 4.
and i barely touched the surface for co-ord geometry assignment 1 or the 10-question long miscellaneous exercise in ws 9.
biology pt i only did the nutrition info for the food.

meant to practise the piano but now i figure i have to use that time to edit my zuowen.
meant to finish reading the chinese book (that again i was supposed to read on the airplane but got too motion sick to do so) but now i have to use that time to pack my stuff for camp.
meant to revise a bit of physics but i guess now that time has to be used for my co-ord geometry.
and all of this "meant to's" mean that I HAVE TO BRING HOMEWORK TO DO DURING ROBOTICS CAMP.
let's see, free gaps of time are during the treasure hunt when no-one's asking me for clues for the treasure hunt, as well as when people are busy watching movies and stuff that i don't wanna watch.
okay i shall bring my friggin homework there to do.

ahwell. i shall update later today ( I SWEAR I WOULD BY TONIGHT ) about the uk trip! and talking about uk trip, i guess my braincells are now too much in the holidaying mood.

it's just approximately another wash-bang two weeks before school reopens.
5 days of smp and 3 days of robotics camp.
deduct that from 16 days and i have 8 days left. 0.o
that totally freaks me out.

I AM BACK FROM THE UK.
and i am already missing that place.
i felt responsibility-free, knowing all my pt's and homework are all miles away from me, with foreign oceans and lands between me and them.
it was kind of fun living with new found friends and learning and doing stuff together.
it's like a second obs but yeah with a much larger group of people and a completely foreign environment.
all those friendships made in these two short weeks are fantastic. got to know so many people.
the new people i met and got around to liking are:

breakfast lunch and dinner ALL DAMN NICE. SO IS PEIQI. NO. PEIQI IS NOT NICE AT ALL. EVERYTIME SHOUT IN MY EAR AND THEN SCARE ME.

everyone is looking and staring at the computer screen as i type. super weird. but anyway. FOOD!

breakfast we have cereal and COOKED BREAKFAST. cooked breakfast got bacon, tomato, hashbrown, chips, sausage, egg, baked beans! lunch we have sandwich you can like make on your own! got a whole spread of food please. like eat all you can buffet like that, damn nice. WOOT. peiqi is trying to hijack again. LOL. xD

hmmm dinner right. WAHHH. so much food eh. got roast chicken and roast potatoes and gravy and mixed fruits on the first day of our stay. second day we had FISH AND CHIPS, TOFFEE PUDDING and SALAD. third day we had lasagne! WOOT GARFIELD. anyway we had STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE AS WELL!!!!. then yesterday (fourth day) we had pizza! hehhh. and cheesecake again! haha i am looking forward to today's dinner! AHHH YAY.
