incompatibility.
a problem with the chemistry.
the compounds just don't mix.
immiscible.
explosive to think of it.
it explodes, shoots out and dies.
swift and fast.
leaving minor burns on the table.

that's not what i want for a lab practical.
i switch the chemicals around.
trying for a match that would give what is required.
but the clock is ticking.
and the teacher is stalking about.
counting down.
